Wings of Morpheus Evaluation

Wings of Morpheus evaluation

The wings of Morpheus is a project containing three optional steam punk characters that i had to create in Adobe illustrator and Photoshop going of a picture of myself the character I chose was the hero Henry Drayton a young brawler and his steam powered robot dog Dogma.
For research the first things I looked at were steam punk and 1910-1950 style games like Bioshock infinite, the darkness 1 and 2 and spider-man noir’s section of the game spider-man shattered dimensions.
I also looked at 1910-1950’s style films like lawless, Peter Jackson’s King Kong, and public enemy’s.
Going in to the project I was very new to Adobe Photoshop and illustrator but I knew the basics of the programs and over time I picked up the rest quickly.
Along with my lack of experience working with Adobe illustrator and Photoshop one of my flaws were bad time management also I feel I was working quite slow because I was new to the programs
Because of my experience with the programs I did not have extremely high expectations but when I finished the Photoshop side of the assignment I felt that  I did very good considering I was new to the programs for the illustrator I was also impressed with my results but I feel I could have done better.
The things I could have improved were the effects used on illustrator and a better range of the tools
The problems that I had were making the steam punk clothing to fit the image and not look baggy on the character but then I found the free transform tool and used that.
I also forgot that I needed a dogma character as my characters companion but soon fixed that problem.
After doing this project I learned a lot more about the computer programs Adobe illustrator and Photoshop I also learnt a lot more short cuts on the computer keyboard.
The main difficulties I had with the project were the limitations on how to use the programs but for a first attempt over all I think I did a pretty good job
